Job Description:

Senior Social Work Assistant to join Area Services, playing a key role in supporting social workers to safeguard and promote the welfare of vulnerable children and young people. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about making a real difference, working at the heart of children’s services in a fast-paced and rewarding environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage an allocated caseload under the guidance of a Team Manager or Social Worker
  • Provide practical, day-to-day support to children, young people, and families
  • Gather, analyse, and record information to support high-quality assessments
  • Ensure all work aligns with statutory responsibilities and safeguarding standards
  • Work collaboratively with professionals and partner agencies to achieve the best outcomes
  • Promote a joined-up, multi-agency approach
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date case records and reports
  • Communicate effectively with a range of audiences
  • Take ownership of your learning and development
  • Stay up to date with legislation, policies, and best practice
