Job Description:

HSBC is seeking an experienced professional for the Senior Site Reliability Engineer role. This position involves ensuring infrastructure reliability, collaborating with teams, configuring Kubernetes platforms, implementing cloud architectures, CI/CD pipelines, automating processes, and enhancing security measures.

Job Responsibility:

Ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of the infrastructure platform
Collaborate in diagnosing and resolving infrastructure and application issues
Support the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of Kubernetes platform
Troubleshoot incidents, perform root cause analysis and implement reliability improvements
Design cloud architecture, select appropriate cloud services, configure virtual machines, manage cloud security, optimize cloud costs
Implement CI/CD pipelines on cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, GCP
Write automation scripts to manage infrastructure provisioning and configuration
Document code, processes, and solutions
Share knowledge through presentations, workshops, or training sessions with team members
Collaborate with development teams to integrate code changes seamlessly
Implement cloud security measures to protect data and applications
Ensure security best practices are followed in the cloud environment
Engage in research and innovation to explore how cutting-edge AI techniques can be applied to the banking domain

Requirements:

Must have good experience with AWS / GCP / Azure administration and Service Meshes
Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues
Familiarity with Kubernetes concepts and operations would be ideal but not essential
Understanding of containerization and orchestration
Familiarity with infrastructure as code
Proficiency in observability and logging tools
Ability to work effectively within a team

Nice to have:

Familiarity with Kubernetes concepts and operations
Terraform experience
