Job Description:

Senior Site Planner role at Primero, a multi-national engineering, procurement, and construction business. Opportunity to work on projects in Australia and overseas across sectors like gold, lithium, and new energy. The role involves roster 2:1.

Job Responsibility:

  • Comply with all Primero procedures, standards, and processes, while also identifying areas for improvement
  • Assist with the development of a detailed execution schedule(s) based on the scope of works
  • Assist with the development of comprehensive basis of schedule documents outlining schedule assumptions, construction sequencing, calendars, weather, resources, equipment, and critical path information
  • Coordinate and maintain design and constructability reviews, and integration between disciplines and contractors in the design office and onsite
  • Contribute to planning meetings, understanding the interface and deliverables of package owners in the development process to validate the integrity of the plan, understand the key risk and opportunities
  • Identify, record, analyse, monitor, and report the impact of any deviations and or changes with focus on key drivers of deviations and early trends
  • Meet all role specific HSE responsibilities, accountabilities and KPIs as per the Primero HSE Management procedures and plans

Requirements:

  • University degree preferred (Engineering or similar discipline), but not essential
  • 5-10 Years Experience in a project planning essential
  • Experience with EPC Projects advantageous
  • Experience in Construction & Engineering, particularly in the Resources & Mining Industries
  • Demonstrated understanding of Critical Path analysis and Extension of Time claims
  • Primavera P6 proficiency is essential
  • Strong statistical and analytical reporting skills
  • Strong proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerBI

  • Develop and manage schedules, goals, and objectives for projects
  • Make sure stakeholders are being kept informed of project milestones, deadlines, and progress
  • Document the project planning processes and changes and maintain records that can be referred to later
  • Obtain, review & approve detailed time schedule and WBS of subcontractors, partners, suppliers, etc. and integrate time schedules to the project's master schedule
  • Monitor the activities and manage the performance of the construction effort
  • Keep records of changes and have good version management of the time-schedule and all related documentation
  • Timely highlight important deviations from plan to the project management team and suggest corrective actions
  • Create various KPIs to facilitate achievement of the project plan
  • Generate and provide various performance status reports, milestone reports graphs and charts both for internal and external reporting and decision making
