We are currently looking for a Senior Site Mechanical Engineer to join our Construction team, in the project Vineli, near Dobrich, Bulgaria.
Job Responsibility:
Supervise the installation and assembly of mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with engineering specifications and safety standards
Studies and understands each project’s design provided by the engineering headquarters. Crosschecks and finds possible errors and reports to the Construction Manager
Reports daily, weekly to the Construction Manager regarding the construction progress, quality control and the materials received
Monitors the stock of construction materials: Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure timely delivery of required materials, equipment, and spare parts necessary for mechanical systems
Site Inspection: Conduct regular inspections of the construction site to ensure that mechanical systems are being installed correctly, and to identify and address any issues or deviations from the project plans
Quality Control: Create, Implement, and monitor quality control procedures to ensure that all mechanical systems meet the project specifications
Overviews each subcontractor’s installation work quality and the precision to the design. Reports to the Construction Manager with evidence every time there is a quality breach
Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for the construction team and other personnel
Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including project reports, drawings, schedules, and as-built documents for mechanical systems. Communicates design changes and updates to the subcontractors and ensures compliance
Coordination: Collaborate with civil engineers, electrical engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that mechanical systems align with the overall project design and schedule
Training: Provide training and guidance to own team and contractors to ensure proper operation and maintenance of mechanical systems
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
Previous construction experience on site is mandatory (at least 5 years)
Experience in energy projects is considered an advantage
Excellent organizational, communication, problem solving and interpersonal skills
Fluent English and native Bulgarian
Excellent use of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel) and AutoCAD software
Flexibility to relocate to the project site
