We are currently looking for a Senior Site Mechanical Engineer to join our Construction team, in the project Vineli, near Dobrich, Bulgaria.

Job Responsibility

  • Supervise the installation and assembly of mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with engineering specifications and safety standards
  • Studies and understands each project’s design provided by the engineering headquarters. Crosschecks and finds possible errors and reports to the Construction Manager
  • Reports daily, weekly to the Construction Manager regarding the construction progress, quality control and the materials received
  • Monitors the stock of construction materials: Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure timely delivery of required materials, equipment, and spare parts necessary for mechanical systems
  • Site Inspection: Conduct regular inspections of the construction site to ensure that mechanical systems are being installed correctly, and to identify and address any issues or deviations from the project plans
  • Quality Control: Create, Implement, and monitor quality control procedures to ensure that all mechanical systems meet the project specifications
  • Overviews each subcontractor’s installation work quality and the precision to the design. Reports to the Construction Manager with evidence every time there is a quality breach
  • Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for the construction team and other personnel
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including project reports, drawings, schedules, and as-built documents for mechanical systems. Communicates design changes and updates to the subcontractors and ensures compliance
  • Coordination: Collaborate with civil engineers, electrical engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that mechanical systems align with the overall project design and schedule
  • Training: Provide training and guidance to own team and contractors to ensure proper operation and maintenance of mechanical systems

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
  • Previous construction experience on site is mandatory (at least 5 years)
  • Experience in energy projects is considered an advantage
  • Excellent organizational, communication, problem solving and interpersonal skills
  • Fluent English and native Bulgarian
  • Excellent use of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel) and AutoCAD software
  • Flexibility to relocate to the project site
