Job Description:

As part of the strategy team in Propelland, you will be responsible for working with other designers, strategists and technologists. You need to be able to understand the client’s needs, translate them into a compelling vision for the project, determine the best design and business tools to use throughout the project, and execute on design deliverables. With the insights gained from primary and secondary research, you can help inspire the team to empathize with the people involved in order to visualize the experience that people will have. You will specially help translate ideas into concepts, artifacts and experience prototypes, help manage projects, build client relationships and help execute on project deliverables. Your will use your creativity and diverse range of designing experience to explore solutions to a variety of problems. Using a user- centric approach, you will tackle the design and prototyping phases of projects in order to bring to life digital and physical products which will have impact in people’s lives.

Job Responsibility:

Support in solving design problems end-to-end, from identifying user needs to the final product/service/concept
Execute the design research process on projects which includes defining research goals, frame and design necessary research activities to help empathize with users to achieve those research goals -including Quantitative research
Execute the strategy and design process on projects which includes building creative/strategy rationales based on a strong analysis methodology for user understanding, modeling frameworks, service blue prints, brainstorming new strategy/service experience concepts, designing and visualize them in order to best communicate to the team and other stakeholders
Conduct secondary research, including trend benchmarking and competitor analysis
Collaborate with other designers, developers, and researchers to bring integrated and holistic value to our clients

Requirements:

Experience (3 to 5 years) working as design strategist and service designer within consultancy firms
University degree in design related careers (Industrial design, graphic design, etc.) with specialization-master in service/strategic design/innovation
Experience in service design and innovation strategy
Graphic design and visualization communication skills
Strong communication (verbal and written) skills English and Spanish
storytelling, pitch development, etc.
Curious and passionate for learning new things / humbleness + ambitious for growing
Extraordinary attitude: Always willing to help and add value with a readiness to jump in and work with a diverse group of people and spearhead brainstorms and conversations
Organized, self-motivated and detail-oriented, with the ability to work autonomously and be a self-starter in a demanding environment
Achieve objectiveness through methodologies and UCD approach for projects execution, providing grounded solutions and added value to users from a strategic holistic vision
Comfortable working with a variety of disciplines and methods such as Design thinking principles, and collaborative methodologies (agile, etc.)
Process oriented and methodic
Knowledge of other user research, ethnography, and discovery methods
Capacity to work with data and analytics to find patterns and design strong and well supported models as well as proposals that solve client’s needs

Nice to have:

Knowledge of business modeling methodologies and tools (Lean startup, business canvas, etc.)
Financial basic skills
Digital experience and knowledge
