Job Description:

The Senior Service Designer supports Great Minds in its mission to foster effective implementation of all curriculum products. This role is responsible for researching, writing, reviewing, and revising content that supports the implementation efforts of current and potential users of Great Minds-supported curricula. The Senior Service Designer will develop professional learning experiences in alignment with best practices for adult learning. The Senior Service Designer will also plan and lead associated internal learning and development on the developed professional learning experiences.

Job Responsibility:

  • Create high-quality professional learning content aligned with project vision
  • Partner closely with the Texas Implementation Services team
  • Execute on service development milestones
  • Provide visual design support
  • Ensure accessibility guidelines are followed
  • Define multi-year learning sequences
  • Participate in writing professional learning resources
  • Participate in development of internal learning and development experiences
  • Participate in iterative process of creating, facilitating, observing and revising offerings
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of Great Minds professional learning design
  • Use data to create learning offerings
  • Think flexibly about future possibilities
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively
  • Meet deliverable milestones and deadlines
  • Provide timely communication with team leadership
  • Cultivate and maintain a strong Great Minds culture
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience developing professional learning content
  • At least 3 years of experience facilitating professional development workshops for teachers and administrators
  • At least 1 year of experience supporting and leading implementation of Texas Education Agency OER instructional materials
  • Extensive content knowledge in Secondary Mathematics (Secondary Math TEKS required)
  • Extensive, expert knowledge of pedagogical approaches
  • Unmatched writing and editing skills
  • Bachelor’s degree

Nice to have:

  • School or district leadership experience
  • Master’s degree in curriculum and instruction
