Job Description

The AMD Server Platform Design team is seeking a Senior Server System Platform Hardware Architect. This role offers the opportunity to work cross-functionally with a variety of domain architects: power supply design, platform design, mechanical, thermal, firmware, silicon validation, silicon design. Additionally, there will be extensive collaboration with AMD customers and ecosystem vendors. You’ll play a key role in creating and defining high-quality, cutting-edge products that drive AMD’s leadership in AI acceleration. The Server Platform Design team fosters and encourages technical innovation as well as facilitates continuous career development.

Job Responsibility

  • Define and drive platform level socket pinout and floor planning using Cadence tools
  • Develop comprehensive product specifications for system level products by obtaining a clear understanding of the requirements via AMD internal cross-functional team collaboration and AMD customer engagements
  • Drive vendor partnership and engagement to enable the ecosystem for up and coming and new technologies
  • Write and review detailed customer centric technical documentation
  • Provide technical expertise and leadership for a broad cross functional team

Requirements

  • A technology related Bachelor's degree and 15+ years or equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Experience in a customer environment, knowledge of specific customer applications and technical expertise demonstrated in the area of board level and system level design
  • Excellent debugging skills at the SoC and system level
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills for both internal and customer facing interaction
