This position is responsible for monitoring, controlling server and/or data center operations to ensure alignment with department and organizational objectives. This includes activities related to server, network, and facility configuration, user requirements, user incidents and user requests. This includes the maintenance of data closets throughout the Healthcare System.
Job Responsibility:
Participates in routine security audits to assess performance and identify gaps that may lead to potential outages
Communicates with system users to identify, explain, and resolve problems, acting as second-level support for client support staff
Performs installation and cabling, and assists with configuration of infrastructure equipment according to business needs
Assists with the maintenance of run books based on events and customer inquiries reported
Applies technical knowledge to support the design of workflows that provide seamless integration for client / server environment
May provide support for routine server, network, voice and other infrastructure device firmware, software updates as well as backup to ensure servers are maintained and up to date
Supports the selection and determination of equipment and software and maintains operating records, inventory, and operational run books
Ensures preventative maintenance is coordinated and performed in a timely manner to ensure reliability of systems utilized
Defines requirements, develops test plans, and works with cross-functional teams to achieve daily operational accuracy and efficiency
Monitors and controls systems and server, voice, network, and facility infrastructure in a client / server environment by supporting capacity analysis and planning efforts
Completes all backups and restores as scheduled, providing troubleshooting and resolution of incidents and performing all restores requested of users with proper approval
Requirements:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Information Technology Certification - Professional Association
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
Experience with Microsoft administration of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policies
Knowledge of enterprise systems including Windows Patch Management
