Job Description

Senior SEO Specialist - Full Stack role at WeRoad, a fast-growing travel startup. The role involves executing and optimizing SEO initiatives across multiple markets (Italy, Spain, UK, Germany, France, Switzerland), focusing on technical SEO, on-page optimization, content, and AI-driven search visibility.

Job Responsibility

  • Execute and optimize SEO initiatives across multiple markets, working hands-on on technical SEO, on-page optimization and content
  • Analyze performance of key pages, listings and landing pages across markets, comparing results and translating insights into concrete, testable actions
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering and Content teams to implement SEO improvements consistently across countries (templates, internal linking, structured data, fixes)
  • Ensure international SEO fundamentals are correctly applied and maintained (hreflang parity, URL structure, market consistency)
  • Contribute to AI-driven search visibility (GEO) across markets by designing, running and evaluating tests on formats, page structures and content patterns for AI Overviews and LLM answers
  • Build and maintain SEO dashboards and reports with a multi-market view (Amplitude, GA, Search Console, Looker or similar) to support prioritization and decision-making
  • Act as a solution-oriented advisor for internal stakeholders, identifying SEO and LLM-related challenges in a multi-market context and proposing scalable, data-driven solutions

Requirements

  • 4–6+ years of experience in SEO, with proven exposure to multi-market or international websites
  • Strong hands-on experience with technical SEO fundamentals, applied consistently across multiple countries
  • Solid understanding of content SEO and search intent, with the ability to adapt priorities and solutions by market
  • Comfortable taking initiative on LLM-powered search and AI Overviews, testing and iterating across markets in a fast-changing environment
  • Comfortable working with data and dashboards to compare performance between markets and identify opportunities
  • Ability to operate autonomously in a distributed, multi-market environment, managing trade-offs and priorities
  • Pragmatic, execution-oriented mindset, comfortable taking initiative without perfect information

What we offer

  • Performance-based bonus – An discretionary annual variable bonus, and based on performance and company results
  • A free WeRoad trip every year – Choose your dream destination with €1,200/year travel discount or travel even more as a Travel Coordinator
  • Trust-based holidays – We believe performance is driven by impact, not by hours at a desk. You are encouraged to take the time you need to recharge, beyond contractual minimums, within shared guidelines
  • Opportunities to learn – We invest in your growth with training and learning opportunities
  • New parent support – €3,600/year for 3 years after birth or adoption (or prorated if your child is under 3 when you start at WeRoad)
  • Extra benefits – Meal vouchers (€8/day – when applicable), a €1,000 bonus for your wedding or civil union, and one-off bonus when you hit 5 years with us
  • Fun – A vibrant co-working space, team buildings and meet-ups
