We are seeking a Senior SEO Manager (Team Manager – GEO, AEO & Organic Growth) to lead and scale our SEO practice. This is a senior leadership role, not an individual contributor position. The role requires 10+ years of deep SEO experience and at least 5 years of managing SEO teams. You will own SEO strategy, team performance, capability building, and outcomes across multiple client accounts. We are specifically looking for a leader who understands that SEO is evolving into Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), entity-led search, and AI-influenced discovery, and is excited to lead this transformation.
Job Responsibility:
Own end-to-end SEO strategy across assigned client accounts
Define SEO roadmaps aligned with business KPIs
Continuously evolve SEO approaches based on changes in search behaviour, algorithms, and technology
Ensure SEO initiatives are outcome-driven and tied to measurable growth metrics
Lead initiatives around Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), entity-based and semantic SEO
Adapt SEO strategies for AI-driven discovery, zero-click searches, and conversational search
Manage and mentor a team of 5 SEO specialists
Set clear goals, responsibilities, and performance benchmarks
Conduct regular performance reviews, SEO audits, and skill development sessions
Build future SEO leads and managers through structured coaching and capability building
Foster a culture of accountability, quality, and continuous improvement
Act as the primary SEO authority in client discussions and strategy reviews
Partner with Account Managers to plan SEO deliverables, priorities, and timelines
Review SEO plans, execution quality, and performance before client reporting
Handle escalations, strategic pivots, and course corrections as required
Standardize SEO processes, documentation, and best practices across accounts
Define, optimize, and govern the SEO tool stack for research, audits, content optimization, and reporting
Ensure consistent, insight-led, and outcome-focused reporting across all SEO engagements
Collaborate closely with Content, Performance Marketing, Web, and Engineering teams
Ensure SEO is deeply integrated into broader marketing initiatives, campaigns, and product launches
Advocate for SEO best practices across teams and workflows
Requirements:
10+ years of experience across technical SEO, content SEO, and authority-led SEO
Minimum 5 years of experience managing SEO teams
Proven ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously
Strong exposure to US-market SEO projects and expectations
Experience working in a marketing agency or consulting environment
Technical SEO – Site architecture, crawling, indexing, Core Web Vitals
