You'll work hands-on in a fast-paced Agile environment alongside engineering and DevOps teams to assess and reduce risk across our platforms.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead the implementation of security controls within cloud, DevOps, and network environments
  • Provide technical consulting and design input across security and network platforms
  • Support deployments and changes including some flexibility for after-hours work

  • Contribute to the evaluation and integration of emerging technologies, tools, and best practices

Requirements:

  • 5–8+ years of experience in network security, cloud security, or infrastructure security roles
  • Strong experience with one or more major firewall platforms (e.g. Palo Alto, Cisco FTD, Juniper, Checkpoint)
  • Solid hands-on skills in routing & switching (e.g. OSPF, BGP, VLANs, port channels, VRFs)
  • Familiarity with cloud environments (e.g. AWS, Azure) and CI/CD or DevOps security practices
  • Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

Nice to have:

  • Exposure to SR-MPLS or carrier-grade networking
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCNP Security, or similar
  • Experience with automation tools (Terraform, Ansible) or scripting for security use cases
What we offer:

  • 16 weeks paid parental leave – for both primary and secondary carers
  • Free Telstra mobile plan
  • Device allowance – refreshed every 2 years
  • Discounts – on Telstra products and partner services
  • Professional development – ongoing opportunities to grow and upskill
