Job Description:

Senior Securities Operations Specialist role within Wealth and Investment Management Operations, responsible for developing, implementing, and executing business initiatives and programs, serving as advocates for Wells Fargo's vision and business plans across business groups.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead or participate in moderately complex lifecycle initiatives and support tasks
  • Act as participant in large-scale planning and deliverables
  • Review and analyze moderately complex operational tasks or challenges
  • Independently resolve moderately complex issues on full process within trade environment
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and mid-level managers
  • Manage expertise in operational processes including client account onboarding, cash payments, customer service, funding operations, custodial operations, securities settlement services, structured loan operations, and general ledger reconciliation
  • Resolve moderately complex escalated issues within scope of responsibility
  • Research moderately complex business risks, influence policies, enhance customer satisfaction
  • Exercise independent judgment in understanding trade settlement workflow controls
  • Contribute to overall effectiveness of the team
  • Monitor daily securities and cash related production work
  • Lead or contribute to implementation of projects and new or revised processes and procedures

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of Securities Operations experience
  • 4+ years Brokerage or Asset Movement experience
  • 2+ years of Risk Oversight and/or Control testing experience
  • Ability to execute in a fast paced, high demand environment while balancing multiple priorities
  • Ability to identify and articulate issues, risks, and propose solutions to various levels of organization
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to present complex material in a digestible, consumable manner to all levels and audiences
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills
  • Work independently as a self-starter, action oriented
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrix environment and across different organizational levels
  • Ability to develop partnerships and collaborate with other business, functional and technology areas

Nice to have:

  • Complete automation viability assessments of business opportunities
  • Experience with creating presentations to communicate statistics or metrics
