Job Description:

An established and growing Oil & Gas company in Houston is seeking a highly motivated Senior SEC Accountant to join their Corporate Accounting team. This is a great opportunity to work with a collaborative group of professionals and gain exposure to complex SEC reporting in a dynamic industry environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Prepare and review SEC filings, including 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and other disclosures
  • Assist with preparation of footnotes, MD& A, and financial statement tie-outs
  • Work closely with auditors and cross-functional teams during quarterly and annual filings
  • Research and interpret new accounting pronouncements (U.S. GAAP & SEC regulations)
  • Support internal controls compliance and SOX documentation
  • Contribute to special projects and process improvements within the corporate accounting function

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
  • CPA designation is required
  • 2–3+ years of experience in public accounting or a combination of public and industry experience
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and communication skills

Nice to have:

Experience in Oil & Gas is a plus but not required
