Job Responsibility

  • Complete standard forms and respond to routine correspondence
  • Handle word processing, sort and distribute internal/external mail and emails
  • Maintain records and management information systems
  • Manage the switchboard and provide first-class customer service to all callers and visitors
  • Validate deliveries and ensure a welcoming atmosphere for everyone
  • Log all work activities to enable effective management and measurement of services
  • Ensure all visitors follow the correct procedures while being dealt with professionally
  • Provide administrative support, including calendar management for the senior leadership team
  • Manage and collate all paperwork for educational trips, liaising with key personnel
  • Collate and maintain student records, inputting data into computerised records and management information systems
  • Maintain effective filing systems to ensure compliance with GDPR regulations
  • Operate relevant IT packages and information systems, including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Handle student inquiries and provide advice and guidance on routine matters.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in an administrative role, preferably within an educational setting
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficiency in IT packages, especially MS Office
  • A friendly and professional demeanour that enhances the visitor experience
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
