The Data Center Projects Senior Scheduler is responsible for developing, maintaining, and monitoring comprehensive project schedules for complex data center construction and infrastructure projects. This role requires expertise in project scheduling methodologies, construction sequencing, and coordination with multiple stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met on time and within budget.
Job Responsibility:
Develop detailed project schedules using industry-standard software for data center construction projects
Create work breakdown structures, establish logical relationships between activities, and incorporate resource loading and critical path analysis
Maintain and update schedules regularly to reflect current project status, change orders, and revised completion dates
Collaborate with project managers, construction managers, design teams, MEP contractors, and commissioning agents to gather input for schedule development and updates
Facilitate schedule review meetings with internal teams and external partners to ensure alignment on project timelines and identify potential conflicts early in the process
Identify scheduling risks and develop mitigation strategies for potential delays related to equipment procurement, permitting, weather, and resource availability
Perform scenario planning and what-if analysis to support project decision-making and maintain contingency plans for critical path activities
Prepare comprehensive schedule reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior management, clients, and project stakeholders
Communicate schedule impacts clearly and provide recommendations for recovery plans when projects fall behind baseline schedules
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
Minimum 7-10 years of project scheduling experience with at least 5 years focused on data center, mission-critical, or complex MEP-heavy construction projects
Advanced proficiency project scheduling software
Strong understanding of construction sequencing, particularly for data center infrastructure including power distribution, cooling systems, fire protection, and IT equipment installation
Knowledge of commissioning processes and startup sequences for mission-critical facilities
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy
Strong communication skills for presenting complex scheduling information to diverse audiences
Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
