A leading international distribution organization is seeking a visionary Senior SAP Basis Engineer to join its dynamic IT team. This role is designed for a professional with a broad architectural vision who will work under the direct guidance of the organization's SAP field manager to drive technical excellence. The ideal candidate will not merely maintain systems but will act as the backbone of the SAP infrastructure, ensuring high performance, seamless integration, and a successful transition through the cloud. This position is full-time, permanent and fully remote from anywhere in Greece.

Job Responsibility:

Architectural Leadership: Designs and oversees the evolution of the SAP landscape, ensuring deep-rooted stability and scalability
Cloud Transformation: Takes hands-on responsibility for cloud environments, specifically focusing on SAP RISE and SAP BTP
System Orchestration: Manages a comprehensive suite of products, including SAP ECC, S/4HANA, EWM, and BW
Integration Mastery: Governs the worlds of integration and interfaces using SAP PI and SAP CPI/Integration Suite
Operational Excellence: Executes advanced performance monitoring, data archiving, and preventive maintenance to ensure seamless business continuity
Critical Problem Solving: Identifies and treats complex system malfunctions while providing high availability for critical failures

Requirements:

7+ years of experience
Proven Expertise: Holds at least 7 years of mandatory experience in SAP BASIS with a strong background in upgrades and transformations
Technical Breadth: Demonstrates in-depth understanding of interface protocols including HTTP/S, RFC, IDoc, SOAP, and REST
Infrastructure Knowledge: Exhibits proficiency in both Linux and Windows operating systems
Logistics Insight: Familiarity with devices, terminals, and connectors for logistics and warehouse systems is highly valued
Core Competencies: Combines a systemic vision with the ability to manage tasks independently and prioritize effectively under pressure
