We’re looking for a Senior Sales Person with detailed knowledge of building materials, to join the team at our Northwich branch. In this role, you’ll be a key part of our branch’s success by building strong relationships with customers and suppliers, supporting your teammates, and helping to grow sales and profitability. We’re happy to explore flexible working options. Feel free to chat with us about it during the interview. While we might not be able to meet every request, we’ll always listen with an open mind - and there’s no judgment in asking.

Job Responsibility

  • Building connections – chatting with customers in person or over the phone, using experience in the industry to give helpful, confident advice
  • Creating tailored solutions – putting together quotes, following up on enquiries, and turning leads into real opportunities
  • Keeping things running smoothly – handling day to day admin
  • Offering guidance – helping customers choose the right products
  • Enhancing the shopping experience – keeping displays tidy, well stocked, and easy for customers to browse
  • Collaborating – working closely with the team across the branch, including the yard and counter

Requirements

  • Experience in a builders’ merchant or a sales‑focused role, or a confident sales professional with strong knowledge of building materials and a passion for helping customers find the right products
  • Experience leading or supporting a team
  • Strong time keeping, natural organisation and clear communication skills
  • Great listener
  • Genuine enthusiasm
