Job Responsibility:

  • To work closely with key stakeholders to develop and execute strategy for the responsible customer segmentation
  • Work in close partnership with CIB Relationship Banker and the wider GPS sales teams to identify and develop business opportunities, jointly formulate client engagement strategy to deepen the HSBC cash management wallet share
  • To maintain and enhance existing revenue streams and develop new revenue streams by adopting a needs based advisory approach to understand customer requirements and provide appropriate GPS solutions, thus maximizing commercial profitability and relationship depth
  • Build and maintain close relationships with senior executives within client organization
  • Proactively acting on direct customer feedback, market surveys and client engagement program
  • Manage pricing discussions and negotiations and conduct periodical pricing reviews
  • Lead end-to-end process for delivering successful responses to client’s RFPs, in coordination with stakeholders in various countries and product groups
  • To be recognized as a cash management specialist with an ability to display competent knowledge of relevant products and services within the jobholders area of responsibility
  • To act as a lead sales representative on opportunities with key clients and/or deals
  • Support development, direction and delivery of strategic initiatives
  • Work closely with the GPS Implementation, Integration and Client Service teams to ensure smooth transition of client mandates into realised revenues, as well as to provide ongoing coverage in response to clients’ evolving challenges and requirements
  • Maintain comprehensive sales records in a timely manner to allow tracking of sales performance and sales quality
  • Proactively manage the portfolio to ensure alignment with the Bank’s Risk and Control policies across Credit, Financial crime Risk and Operational Risk
  • Advise relationship banker teams on updates of market trends, competitors landscape, regulatory changes etc. to help anticipate and respond to emerging customer needs and opportunities

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience of global cash management techniques, market, competitive environment, trends and regulatory environment
  • Experience in working with Institutional Clients is an added advantage
  • Strong banking knowledge across various product families in payables, receivables, liquidity, corporate cards and connectivity solutions
  • with experience in managing regional and cross border mandates
  • Strong communication and Interpersonal skills to connect at all seniority levels
  • Self-motivated with a growth mind-set
  • Ability to cope with pressure in a fast-growing and fast-moving environment
  • Proven experience of building and managing large complex relationships in client facing roles, demonstrating an understanding of risk management, structures, credit, products, processes, in an individual contributor capacity
  • Dealing with customers at senior executive level
  • Fluency in both written and verbal English and Japanese
