Senior Sales Engineer - Mist at HPE Networking. This role has been designated as ‘Remote/Teleworker’, which means you will primarily work from home. HPE Networking is the first vendor to bring enterprise-grade Wi-Fi, Wired Assurance, WAN Assurance and Location Services together leveraging Artificial Intelligence for Enterprise deployments through a highly scalable cloud architecture. As a HPE Networking Mist Senior Sales Engineer, you will team up with the HPE Sales team to drive technical sales opportunities to closure. You will utilise your Wi-Fi & switching knowledge, networking, technical and business skills to demonstrate competitive advantages to customers and partners setting Mist apart from other vendors in the industry.

Job Responsibility:

  • Be the technical expert supporting the HPE Networking Sales team for sales and solution related activities
  • Conduct online Mist product presentations, solution demonstrations and answer technical questions
  • Analyse customer and partner requirements, then develop Mist technical solutions aligning to business needs
  • Become the Mist subject matter expert and leverage that knowledge to position Mist with all audiences from the IT Network Engineer to CIO
  • Work with HPE Partners to drive enablement, growth and scale
  • Position Mist Wi-Fi, Wired Assurance, WAN Assurance and Location Based Services solutions vs competitive solutions creating winning designs
  • Drive proof of concept pilots for customer opportunities
  • Help create design/deployment guides for public and internal consumption
  • Be an active member in the Mist community
  • Collaborate with HPE Networking Sales, Product Marketing and Engineering teams to work on customer projects and provide feedback on industry trends and requirements

Requirements:

  • Proven track record of 7+ years in a Sales Engineering capacity, or related roles with a WLAN manufacturer, Networking vendor or Partner experience
  • Wireless networking expertise, industry & standards knowledge, site survey skills, experience with high density Wi-Fi designs and deployment for campus and distributed sites
  • Solid knowledge of network communications technology, Layer 1 through 7, VLANs, TCP/IP, Ethernet, FWs, ACLs, Routing, etc.
  • Familiarity with AAA/RADIUS solutions, the various EAP methods, Certificates and Client device operating systems
  • WLAN design experience and leveraging tools such as Hamina, Ekahau, Netally or iBwave are a must
  • Exceptional verbal, written, presentation and communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask, set priorities and manage simultaneous projects in a high-pace environment
  • Ability to work independently and with a team with a passion to drive continuous success
  • Open to travel
