Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated retail professional to sell our womenswear and menswear collection at our Richmond shop.

Requirements

  • Acquire collection knowledge through training attendance and regularly engaging with seasonal guides
  • To be aware of the monthly individual and shop sales targets and work to achieve this on a weekly basis
  • Develop good customer relations through your approach and utilising detailed product knowledge
  • To achieve customer loyalty by proactively following through with customer requests
  • To collaborate with colleagues when handling customer enquiries
  • Be receptive to customer requirements being helpful and courteous at all times
  • Provide accurate information to customers by ensuring knowledge is continuously kept up to date
  • Perform Company till transactions accurately and demonstrating the ability to handle a range of transactions
  • Deal with telephone enquiries and orders efficiently and politely preparing mail orders tidily and promptly
  • Maintain and promote the Company image by wearing Margaret Howell clothing at all times in an appropriate manner
  • Be aware of stock levels
  • Maintain stock in the shop and stockroom in size and style order
  • Prepare stock to be transferred in accurate accordance with the docket and check deliveries and transfers for discrepancies
  • Monitor stock levels by replenishing sold stock immediately
  • Take part in periodic stock takes and follow up with recounts
  • Monitor the supplies of tissue paper, carrier bags, gift boxes and other necessary stationery
  • To carry out cleaning of fixtures and fittings first thing and throughout the day as necessary
  • Working with colleagues to cover shop floor adequately
  • To take reasonable care for the health and safety of yourself, colleagues and customers
  • Demonstrate a flexible approach to the needs of the business
  • Providing daily support to both Shop and Assistant Shop Manager and taking responsibility in their absence
  • Undertake management responsibilities at any London shop to provide cover as required
  • Regularly checking emails and following up with customer requests
  • Supporting both Shop and Assistant Shop Manager with completing digital paperwork accurately
