Job Description:

As a Senior SailPoint Engineer in Telstra's Security Engineering team, you'll play a key role in advancing our Identity and Access Governance (IGA) capabilities across the business. Your work will directly support our mission to deliver secure, scalable, and automated identity solutions for Telstra's employees, contractors, and partners.

Job Responsibility:

Lead the development and integration of SailPoint IdentityIQ solutions across enterprise systems
Build and optimise onboarding patterns, custom connectors, and REST-based integrations
Guide and mentor other identity engineers while contributing to design and implementation standards
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver secure, compliant identity workflows
Prepare and document deployment guides, work instructions, and test evidence
Support the shift towards automated, DevOps-integrated identity services

Requirements:

Demonstrated experience with SailPoint IdentityIQ in a large enterprise setting
Strong Java/J2EE development background for identity workflows and customisation
Experience building and integrating REST APIs and custom connectors
Proficient in scripting languages such as Bash or PowerShell for automation
Good understanding of identity governance, access controls, and compliance
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Jenkins, Git, Bamboo) and DevOps practices
