Over 20 years of market experience, Intellias brings together technologists, creators and innovators in Europe, North and Latin America, and the Middle East. Join our international team and take the mission to solve the advanced tech challenges of tomorrow! What project we have for you: Our client is one of the leading meal kit companies. They’re providing more than 120 million meals to > 4 million households worldwide in 14 countries across 3 continents. From procurement tools to conversion rate optimization, live pricing tools, payment services and add-on upselling features, the company works on a wide variety of challenging problems. Now the project is focused migrating 10,000+ users from Slack Enterprise Select to Enterprise+. We are looking for an engineer who can independently own the technical risk surface of the migration – making judgment calls on app compatibility, designing testing methodology from scratch, producing runbooks, and bridging the gap between Slack’s guidance and our need for certainty. The engineer will own the Technical Workstream end-to-end.
Job Responsibility
Take ownership of the technical risk assessment for Slack apps, workflows, integrations, and custom automations
Assess app compatibility and make clear technical recommendations on migration readiness
Design and execute testing methodology for the migration, including smoke tests and downtime scenarios
Create detailed runbooks that can be followed during the migration under time pressure
Coordinate with app owners, workflow owners, Slack PS team, and internal stakeholders
Translate Slack guidance into practical technical actions and identify gaps or risks
Work independently in an ambiguous environment and make judgment calls where needed
Ensure the migration is technically safe, well-tested, and causes minimal business disruption
Requirements
Solid experience JavaScript, TypeScript, and Python
Deep understanding of Slack’s platform architecture – APIs (Web API, Events API, RTM), webhooks, workflows, bot tokens, OAuth scopes, Slack apps vs legacy integrations
Experience with enterprise Slack administration or Slack app development at scale
Experience in working with AWS
Ability to read, assess, and make risk judgments on custom app code across multiple languages/frameworks
Comfortable designing testing methodology without vendor support, including smoke tests for hard downtime and soft downtime
Operational discipline: can produce runbooks that another engineer could execute under pressure
Can work independently with ambiguity
Strong communication skills and sense of ownership — needs to coordinate with 100+ app and workflow owners, explain technical implications to non-technical stakeholders, and work directly with Slack’s PS team
Makes unilateral calls on: app compatibility classification, test methodology, Sandbox configuration, runbook content, vendor outreach approach
Great communication skills, at least Upper-Intermediate level of English
Nice to have
Experience with enterprise platform migrations (any SaaS — not necessarily Slack)
