Job Responsibility:
Work on real-time robotics software to automate agricultural equipment
Run and refine complex agricultural machines that unite vision-based deep learning, distributed computing, and precise sensing and actuation to reliably execute operations in the field
Investigate and solve difficult, unsolved challenges in sensing, actuation, and autonomous operations to push machine performance forward
Integrate a wide variety of sensing, computing, actuation, and user interface hardware and software to achieve machine performance goals
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field plus 3 years of related experience
Develop real-time capable software in C++ for Linux
Experience with benchmarking and improving jitter in end-to-end latency (2 yrs)
Use git and Bazel to build, test, and deploy vehicle software and firmware (2 yrs)
Develop pub-sub systems that interact with sensors and actuators on robotics systems via CAN and Ethernet (2 yrs)
Experience building end-to-end testing solutions for data-driven software, including unit, integration, HIL, and regression testing (2 yrs)
Implement vehicle software utilizing ROS, and robotics software packages such as AOS, Flatbuffers, Protobufs (3 yrs)
