Job Responsibility

  • Work on real-time robotics software to automate agricultural equipment
  • Run and refine complex agricultural machines that unite vision-based deep learning, distributed computing, and precise sensing and actuation to reliably execute operations in the field
  • Investigate and solve difficult, unsolved challenges in sensing, actuation, and autonomous operations to push machine performance forward
  • Integrate a wide variety of sensing, computing, actuation, and user interface hardware and software to achieve machine performance goals

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field plus 3 years of related experience
  • Develop real-time capable software in C++ for Linux
  • Experience with benchmarking and improving jitter in end-to-end latency (2 yrs)
  • Use git and Bazel to build, test, and deploy vehicle software and firmware (2 yrs)
  • Develop pub-sub systems that interact with sensors and actuators on robotics systems via CAN and Ethernet (2 yrs)
  • Experience building end-to-end testing solutions for data-driven software, including unit, integration, HIL, and regression testing (2 yrs)
  • Implement vehicle software utilizing ROS, and robotics software packages such as AOS, Flatbuffers, Protobufs (3 yrs)
  • May work remotely
