As a Senior Risk Specialist in Capital One’s Financial Services Data organization, you’ll be responsible for working with business partners to identify and mitigate potential data risks to Capital One. Senior Risk Specialists at Capital One are the front line of defense to ensure our Company remains stable and profitable. Senior Risk Specialists at Capital One are highly motivated Risk Management professionals with excellent organizational and communication skills. They have a high level of exposure across lines of business and have the opportunity to create and implement innovative solutions to identify and mitigate potential risks to the Company.
Job Responsibility:
Data Risk Consulting to one or more Business Areas relative to their business lines and provide advice and guidance as required
Develop and leverage key relationships with stakeholders that enable collaboration across the enterprise
Monitoring and Reporting of Financial Services Data Management efforts
Define and refine controls to effectively mitigate data risk for the division
Perform data risk assessment activities in support of business initiatives ensuring data risk is identified and appropriately cared for prior to launch
Identify and track events and issues to mitigate data risk to Capital One by coordinating with applicable business areas to define and implement remediation activities
Requirements:
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification
At least 2 years of Risk Management experience
Bachelor's Degree or military experience
1+ year of experience in data governance, data quality management concepts or data quality tools
3 + years of experience in Risk Management
3 + years of experience in project or process management
