This is a fantastic opportunity for you to join the Line 1 Risk team in the Customer & Conduct Department and establish a career in Risk, Governance and Compliance. Customer & Conduct are a first line team that sit across EUI Ltd. The Risk team are focused on supporting risk management processes and promoting consistency in risk management and Group Standards. We are looking for a Senior Risk Business Partner to lead a team of Risk Partners, whilst working very closely with specific departments in the business to support their risk management.
Job Responsibility:
Drive and embed first line risk activity from a centralised team, through process mapping, risk reviews, controls testing and reporting
Take Ownership of the development and maturity Risk Registers and supporting reviews, for example Risk & Control Self-Assessments (RCSA)
Develop relationships with stakeholders at all levels across EUI promoting best practices and continuous improvement
Drive innovation in the risk management practices and procedures
Challenging the resolution of risk events across EUI
Support the interpretation of compliance and regulatory requirements relevant to the UK Customer Teams
Ensure policy requirements and internal standards are met
Support management with SMF / Certified Manager responsibilities
Lead and develop your team of risk partners
Requirements:
Prior experience of managing risks, controls and governance processes within the Financial Services industry
Proven ability to interrogate/analyse MI and make recommendations linked to desired customer, regulatory and business outcomes
Determination, resilience and focus to achieve results without distraction or setback
Good stakeholder management and influencing skills
Proven leadership experience and confidence in developing high performing teams
Working knowledge of the SMCR regime
Proven experience in leading risk transformation activity and improving risk culture in large organisations
Nice to have:
Previous experience of working in motor products and/or the insurance industry
Experience of the external risk environment and issues that can impact us
Knowledge of the general insurance market and current regulatory landscape
Experience within the Conduct area, Customer journey mapping or Vulnerable Customers
