Job Description:

Senior risk analytics consultant role at Wells Fargo's Consumer Credit team responsible for leading, developing and implementing strategic initiatives to drive company credit culture, appetite, and business performance. The role requires applying strong business knowledge and advanced analytical skills to solve business questions and develop innovative risk management strategies.

Job Responsibility:

Lead or participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliver insight and decision strategies within analytics and reporting
Review and analyze moderately complex data aggregation, forecasting, reporting, and programming models
Be responsible for process production, data reconciliation, and model documentation
Resolve data, production, business modeling issues and lead team to meet Risk Analytics deliverables
Collaborate and consult with peers, experienced managers, compliance, and technology
Lead projects, teams, and mentor less experienced staff
Partner with cross enterprise risk analysts in development of common modeling strategies
Develop Loss forecasting framework & execute to generate key credit loss metrics
Develop comprehensive monitoring frameworks and dashboards
Build risk rating methodologies using advanced analytics approaches
Develop complex programming models to extract data and manipulate databases

Requirements:

4+ years of Risk Analytics experience or equivalent through work experience, training, military experience, or education
4+ years of progressive experience in credit and risk analytics
Hands-on experience in credit risk analytics areas (credit strategy, modeling techniques, forecasting techniques, data architecture & management)
Detailed understanding of risk domain
Strong Risk analytics skills and understanding of P&L, drivers
Expertise in programming and statistical packages (SAS, SQL, VBA, Macros, R, Python, E-miner, Tableau, SAS VA)
Knowledge of advanced statistical tools (Segmentation Tools, Decision Trees, Clustering, Regression, Machine Learning techniques)
Ability to lead project teams and coordinate with multiple stakeholders
Strong analytical skills with ability to turn findings into executable plans
Ability to identify and evaluate trends, isolate root cause, and provide resolution
Advanced degree in statistics/finance/engineering/economics/other quantitative disciplines
Knowledge of consumer and small business loan credit card lending practices, policies, procedures, and key drivers
Strong project management skills with ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure
