We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Reward Specialist to join the HR Reward and Performance centre of expertise (CoE) at National Highways, on an 18-month fixed term contract basis. The Senior Reward Specialist is responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of National Highways' reward arrangements, from working with external stakeholders to writing Remuneration Committee papers and completing market benchmarking.
Job Responsibility:
Contribute to the design and development of the reward strategy
Draft Remuneration Committee papers on behalf of the Reward and Performance CoE
Manage and oversee the implementation and ongoing maintenance of the overall National Highways reward structure
Liaise with external stakeholders ensuring progression of projects
Work with the wider Reward and Performance team to provide a pragmatic, customer focused, creative and commercially grounded reward service
Requirements:
Proven experience in all areas of rewards and recognition including pay, benefits, pension, market benchmarking, job evaluation, and executive compensation
Understanding of industry best practice, market trends, and developments in reward management
Excellent paper-writing skills, including being able to articulate complexity in a clear, concise way
Sound consulting, facilitation, and advisory skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with leadership and senior management
Nice to have:
A bachelor's degree, preferably in HR, business administration, or a related field or commensurate professional experience
