Job Description

Job Responsibility

  • Own monthly revenue close procedures, including preparing revenue and deferred revenue journal entries and reconciliations
  • Perform revenue and deferred revenue analytics to provide visibility into trends and drive revenue optimization initiatives
  • Partner with cross-functional business partners to implement best practices, automation, and continuous process improvements
  • Support revenue-related system implementations and perform user acceptance testing (UAT)
  • Manage projects, create procedural documentation, and develop training materials
  • Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) 404 key controls
  • Assist with external audit requests, special projects, and other ad hoc tasks as needed

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent practical experience
  • 6+ years of progressive, relevant experience, including knowledge of ASC 606
  • Familiarity with month-end close processes, account reconciliations, and journal entry preparation
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Critical thinker with a risk-based approach and strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities with accuracy and efficiency

Nice to have

  • CA/CPA certification
  • Proficiency in Google Suite
  • Experience with financial systems such as SAP (ERP ECC & RAR), Blackline, Tableau, and SFDC
  • Experience in the high-tech industry, particularly with hardware, software, or SaaS business models
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships across multiple functions and implement new processes
