Job Responsibility
Own monthly revenue close procedures, including preparing revenue and deferred revenue journal entries and reconciliations
Perform revenue and deferred revenue analytics to provide visibility into trends and drive revenue optimization initiatives
Partner with cross-functional business partners to implement best practices, automation, and continuous process improvements
Support revenue-related system implementations and perform user acceptance testing (UAT)
Manage projects, create procedural documentation, and develop training materials
Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) 404 key controls
Assist with external audit requests, special projects, and other ad hoc tasks as needed
Requirements
Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent practical experience
6+ years of progressive, relevant experience, including knowledge of ASC 606
Familiarity with month-end close processes, account reconciliations, and journal entry preparation
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Critical thinker with a risk-based approach and strong problem-solving skills
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities with accuracy and efficiency
Nice to have
CA/CPA certification
Proficiency in Google Suite
Experience with financial systems such as SAP (ERP ECC & RAR), Blackline, Tableau, and SFDC
Experience in the high-tech industry, particularly with hardware, software, or SaaS business models
Demonstrated ability to build relationships across multiple functions and implement new processes
