We’re looking for a Revenue Accountant to be responsible for timely and accurate revenue recognition. This role will work on all aspects of the revenue accounting process to ensure accurate and complete financial information. This includes, but is not limited to, sales contract review for revenue implications and executing month-end and year-end close activities. In addition, this position will require impeccable attention to detail and the ability to deliver results under deadlines. You will maintain best-in-class processes and controls to support the seamless execution of our revenue recognition activities. You’ll support the design of automated solutions to further scale and streamline revenue processes.
Job Responsibility:
Execute monthly accounting close activities and deliverables in NetSuite (i.e. journal entries, account reconciliations, analytics and reporting), in compliance with ASC 606
Clearly and completely document all processes and procedures in line with control activities
Perform ongoing contract review of closed deals and ensure appropriateness of revenue inputs for revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606
Assist in tracking and assessing non-standard revenue contracts, as needed, for appropriateness of revenue recognition
Support external audit requirements, as needed
Prepare sales order reconciliation to ensure completeness and accuracy of all orders between systems
Prepare and maintain quarterly CECL analysis to account for expected credit losses for financial reporting
Prepare and document A/R related adjustments, including write-offs, in accordance with established policies
Identify process improvements and assist in automation efforts to drive efficiency initiatives within the quote to cash business cycle
Prepare revenue-related system reconciliations, investigate variances, and ensure timely resolution
Participate in testing for revenue system enhancements to ensure new features support compliance and data integrity
Participate in ad hoc projects, as needed
Support cross-department efforts and build relationships with other teams, including accounting, FP&A, sales, deal desk, and legal
Collaborate across teams to support and advance automation initiatives, system enhancements, and processes that drive scalability and efficiency in revenue accounting for new business offerings
Requirements:
5-7 years of combined experience in revenue and public accounting
Strong working knowledge of ASC 606
Experience working in high-growth, SaaS companies
Advanced Excel skills and work with large datasets
Meticulous and well-organized
Passionate about process, continuous improvement, and leveraging technology
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership

Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
