The Senior Accountant will play a key role in the monthly close process, with a primary focus on revenue, cost-of-sales, and related balance sheet accounts. You will drive end-to-end revenue accounting workflows, maintain accurate reconciliations, support audit requirements, and prepare components of the monthly reporting package with strong analytical insight. This role is essential in maintaining data integrity across the general ledger and subledgers and supporting a scalable, well-controlled accounting environment.
Job Responsibility:
Execute revenue recognition workflows in accordance with ASC 606 and company policies
Ensure accuracy and consistency across the GL, revenue systems, and subledgers
Contribute to the monthly reporting package, including flux analyses, trend insights, and KPI reporting
Prepare journal entries for revenue, cost of sales and related balance sheet accounts
Maintain workpapers and tie-outs to support an efficient and timely close
Investigate and resolve discrepancies by partnering closely with cross-functional teams
Perform internal controls over revenue and financial reporting
maintain complete and organized control evidence
Document accounting procedures and contribute to scalable processes and SOPs
Assist in identifying process gaps and strengthening the control environment
Prepare audit-ready documentation, workpapers, and PBC deliverables focused on revenue, cost of sales and related balance sheet accounts
Maintain standardized templates for audit support and internal review
Respond to auditor inquiries with accuracy, clarity, and timeliness
Partner with RevOps, FP&A, Legal, and other internal teams to ensure accuracy in revenue and contract data
Collaborate with external consultants or system vendors on revenue tools, workflows, and data integrity
Requirements:
3–5+ years of accounting experience, ideally including both public accounting and high-growth company experience
Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, with emphasis on ASC 606 revenue recognition
Hands-on experience preparing reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end schedules
Experience in a startup or high-growth environment is strongly preferred
Advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis)
Excellent documentation, organization, and communication skills
High attention to detail, strong analytical mindset, and ability to work independently
Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with evolving processes
Demonstrated ownership, professionalism, and adaptability
