Job Description

Support the management and optimization of the retail energy supply portfolio in the wholesale energy market. Your focus will be on reducing supply costs through accurate forecasting and effective market participation, while ensuring compliance with regulatory and operational requirements.

Job Responsibility

  • Monitor and execute daily operations related to the retail energy portfolio in the Day-Ahead, Intraday, and Balancing markets
  • Collect, process, and validate metering data to support short- and mid-term demand forecasting
  • Track and analyze total energy supply costs, including competitive and regulated charges
  • Support settlement and guarantee processes with market operators (ADMIE, DAPEEP, DEDDHE, EnEx)
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., MECS, Treasury) and external stakeholders to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of tools and processes related to portfolio management

Requirements

  • A degree in Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, Energy, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in the energy sector
  • Solid understanding of the Greek wholesale energy markets (Day-Ahead, Intraday, Balancing)
  • Experience with analytical tools and software for forecasting, cost modeling, and reporting
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python will be considered an asset
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and time management abilities
  • Effective communication skills for collaboration across teams and with external partners
