Job Description:

We are seeking a Sr. Director, Retail Media to lead all retail and commerce media investment across major retail media networks/platforms, including Amazon, Target, Walmart, Criteo, Costco, and emerging platforms globally. This role is responsible for both strategic leadership and hands-on stewardship of retail media investment, with particular depth in Amazon Advertising, which represents the majority of spend. The Sr. Director will oversee planning, activation, optimization, pacing, forecasting, and reporting across retail platforms—ensuring operational excellence, financial accountability, and measurable business impact. They will lead a team responsible for campaign execution while elevating the level of strategic thinking, storytelling, and proactive growth planning. This leader must be equally comfortable in executive conversations and in detailed retail media mechanics—able to challenge bidding strategy, campaign structure, automation reliance, and allocation decisions while also shaping the broader growth narrative. The ideal candidate is a seasoned commerce media leader who combines deep platform expertise, disciplined operational management, and executive-ready strategic leadership.

Job Responsibility:

  • Own end-to-end retail media investment across Amazon and all major retail media networks
  • Lead budget allocation, pacing, forecasting, and in-flight optimization with strong financial accountability
  • Ensure disciplined management of performance metrics (ROAS, TACoS, CPC, incremental revenue) and drive proactive budget shifts based on performance, promotions, and inventory dynamics
  • Oversee campaign structure, bidding strategy, targeting, and testing rigor across all retail platforms, ensuring operational excellence and intentional use of automation
  • Translate platform signals (traffic trends, share of voice, competitive shifts, buy box dynamics) into clear action plans
  • Establish a structured retail media planning framework with clear KPIs, allocation logic, and integrated on-site/off-site strategy
  • Standardize forecasting and reporting methodologies to ensure consistency, accuracy, and executive clarity
  • Elevate reporting from data summaries to concise performance narratives
  • Ensure meetings prioritize problem-solving and forward-looking growth decisions over granular data review
  • Lead and develop a high-performing retail media team across planning, buying, and optimization functions
  • Provide direct oversight of senior leads to ensure strategic ownership, quality control, and executive readiness
  • Build accountability for performance, forecasting accuracy, and operational discipline
  • Foster a culture of proactive thinking, commercial acumen, and consistent “one voice” storytelling
  • Partner closely with Business Planning & Analytics to align retail investment with broader measurement and financial frameworks
  • Collaborate with media and strategy teams to ensure integrated retail growth across on-site and off-site channels
  • Support development of global playbooks and scalable retail media best practices across markets
  • Foster a culture that values precision, accountability, and proactive problem-solving
  • Codify scalable retail media frameworks and governance standards
  • Strengthen integration across Retail Media, Investment, Analytics, Strategy, and Commerce teams
  • Serve as a senior commerce leader within Jellyfish and the broader network

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of retail media or commerce media leadership experience
  • Deep, hands-on expertise in Amazon Advertising and major retail media networks
  • Proven experience managing significant retail media budgets with strong financial discipline
  • Strong operational rigor across campaign structure, bidding, forecasting, and optimization
  • Exceptional executive communication skills with the ability to synthesize complex performance data into clear business guidance
  • Demonstrated success building and developing high-performing teams
  • Comfort operating in executive and cross-functional environments
What we offer:
  • Discretionary annual bonus scheme
  • 401k retirement plan
  • Healthcare, vision and dental insurance
  • Short and long-term disability and life cover
  • Work remotely for up to 60% of your days
  • Flexible working hours (shape your day between 8am and 6:30pm)
  • Accumulate one paid day each month (2 hours per week) for self-development
  • Access to Jellyfish Learn
  • 14 weeks of paid leave for primary caregivers
  • 4 weeks of paid leave for secondary caregivers
