Randstad is seeking a Senior Residential Support Worker to join our team. RANDSTAD has partnered with Impact Children and Education (North East) in seeking a dedicated Senior Residential Support Worker to join their nurturing environment. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow your career in a rewarding field, with the potential for someone to step up into a senior position.

Job Responsibility:

  • Providing direct care and support to young people in a residential setting
  • Offering guidance and mentorship to junior support staff
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of care plans
  • Ensuring a safe, positive, and stimulating environment for residents
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation
  • Upholding high standards of safeguarding and child protection
  • Facilitating engaging activities and promoting personal development
  • Working collaboratively with the care team and external agencies

Requirements:

  • Min. 3 years of Experience in a residential care setting, or a strong desire to step into a senior role
  • Proven ability to be patient, empathetic, and resilient
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies
  • Eagerness to take on more responsibility
  • Availability to work flexible shifts, including evenings and sleep-ins
  • Must hold or be working towards a Level 3 in Children's Residential Care
  • Relevant experience in childcare or a similar field
  • Proficiency in guidance and support techniques
  • Knowledge of safeguarding practices
