Job Description

Senior Residential Support Worker for Children and Young People in a 5 Bed Residential Home for those with emotional behavioural disorder, mental health and learning disabilities.

Job Responsibility

  • Support the Registered Manager/Deputy with day-to-day operations and staff deployment
  • Meet the needs of young people in line with individual care plans, ensuring their safety and welfare at all times
  • Work collaboratively with families, social workers and external agencies
  • Ensure all practice meets legislative and safeguarding standards
  • Lead on staff inductions, supervisions and appraisals
  • Support in implementing, reviewing and updating care plans
  • Ensure administrative tasks are completed effectively and systems are maintained

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of young people's developmental needs and safeguarding/child protection procedures
  • Knowledge of social care services and experience working sensitively within a team
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure, handle emotional situations and remain flexible
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate yourself and others
  • You must be at least 23 years of age
  • Driving Licence- Essential, manual, OR automatic
