We have a fantastic opportunity for dedicated Senior Residential Practitioner to join our Residential Children’s Home provisions. ForeverCare Provide person centred support and care for children and young people between the ages of 5 and 18 years with a variety of different needs and requirements. Our Homes are 2 bed giving young people a homely environment to live in.
Job Responsibility:
Overseeing of each shift
Provide first line management and supervision to the Residential Practitioner on duty to ensure that children and young people receive the best care and support possible
Report directly to the Deputy Manager & Registered Manager
Requirements:
Have a minimum of 1 years’ experience in a Senior / Team leader role
Be Committed to achieving the best for children and young people
Be able to prioritise work load and duties
Be experienced in leading and delegating to the team on duty
Be confident in regard to decision making and accountability
Be able to work towards achieving the best outcomes of children and young people in line with the children’s homes regulations
Have an understanding of Care Plans, Risk Assessments and completing these documents
Have an understanding of the Children's Homes Regulations
Be able to Safeguard and protect the wellbeing of children and young people at all times and ensure that Residential practitioners carry out their duties appropriately at all times
Be able to supervise and carry out 1:1 practise based supervision to team members on an ongoing basis
Work collaboratively with other Senior practitioners and management to ensure the service meets the required standard
Act in the absence of the Homes Registered Manager & Deputy Manager and seek approval when required
Work as a valued member of the Team at all times
Be willing to complete training as required
Follow Company Policy & Procedure at all times and ensure staff team members conduct themselves appropriately
Be confident in challenging inappropriate practices and standards and have a thorough understanding of Safeguarding Procedures
Be able to communicate professionally both with staff members and professionals
Be outgoing, caring, and compassionate
Be able to advocate for the needs, wishes, and views of the young people and children we care for
Nice to have:
Residential Childcare experience
level 3 Diploma in Children’s Residential
