Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Residential Childcare Practitioner for a Children’s Home in Derby. As a Senior Residential Childcare Practitioner, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, well-being, and development of the children/young people in your care. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young children.

Job Responsibility:

Create a safe and nurturing environment for children underpinned by therapeutic parenting principles
Support young people through their daily routines by accompanying, where necessary, to and from activities, school, learning environments, appointments etc.
Maintaining a safe and clean home environment
Maintaining confidentiality at all times
Participate in supervision, personal development plans and attend mandatory training
Maintain accurate records of attendance, incidents, and milestones
Ensure all reports and documentation are up to date in accordance to company policies and procedures

Requirements:

Working towards or completed Level 4 Diploma in Children’s and Young People workforce
2 years experience working with Children in a residential setting
Valid driver’s license (if driving is required)
