Job Description:

You will join the Upstream business unit that develops a competitive and unique portfolio in the sector, with a carbon intensity well below the industry average. It comprises projects at different stages of maturity, from exploration to production. In addition to promising assets in Namibia and São Tomé and Príncipe, the portfolio includes one of the largest oil and natural gas discoveries of recent decades: in the pre-salt Santos basin in Brazil.

Job Responsibility:

  • Compressively and independently manage reservoir engineering discipline scopes across multiple assets, with business focus
  • Own and deliver reservoir engineering studies for assigned assets across the asset life cycle
  • Build, maintain, and quality-control dynamic reservoir models and associated forecasts
  • Provide clear, structured, and decision-oriented recommendations to Asset Teams and management
  • Act as technical authority for reservoir engineering studies within assigned assets
  • Ensure technical consistency, robustness, and full traceability of assumptions, methodologies, and results
  • Proactively identify value opportunities (production acceleration, recovery improvement, risk reduction)
  • Support mentoring and technical development of junior reservoir engineers
  • Support new business opportunities screening, review, and technical assurance
  • Act as a key integration pivot of critical decision making disciplines and scopes
  • Lead and/or support R&D initiatives

  • Proven experience influencing well testing, well completion, development concepts, well phasing, and production strategies
  • Reservoir engineering studies execution, including integration of well test data into forecasts and simulations
  • Reserves and Resources classification expertise
  • Uncertainty framing and scenario-based decision support
  • Ability to translate complex technical work into clear business implications
  • Strong cross-disciplinary integration (geology, petrophysics, production, facilities)
  • Structured problem solving and analytical rigour
