Job Description:

You will be a part of Pinecone Labs and report to Pinecone’s Chief Scientist. Pinecone Labs is a small team dedicated to creating new AI products and advancing the state of the art on search, information retrieval and AI.

Job Responsibility:

  • Evaluate and implement state of the art AI, IR, and search techniques into Pinecone’s knowledge products
  • Improve and invent new AI, IR, and search features and capabilities
  • Present and educate your team, our customers, and the community
  • Consume state-of-the-art literature and learn about SOTA AI, IR, and search
  • Collect data, train models, run evaluations, and present findings
  • Implement POCs of new features and capabilities into the products
  • Publish and present technical reports, blog posts, and academic papers

Requirements:

  • Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related field
  • A track record of impactful research demonstrated through publications in top-tier machine learning, theory, algorithms, search, and data science conferences (e.g., NeurIPS, ICML, CVPR, SIGIR) and related journals
  • Experience in being an effective team member in product centric engineering groups
