Job Description:

Join a dynamic, independent reinsurance brokerage that is rapidly expanding its footprint across Asia. This role offers you the autonomy to shape your own portfolio. You will be the architect of complex reinsurance programs, working directly with clients in high-growth markets to structure deals that actually make a difference.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead the technical structuring of reinsurance programs (Treaty and/or Facultative)
  • Analyze client portfolios to design layered programs that optimize coverage and pricing efficiency
  • Manage and grow a book of business focused on Southeast Asia and Northeast Asia
  • Serve as the primary subject matter expert for Property, while also handling placements for at least one secondary line (e.g., Engineering, Casualty, Marine, or Energy)
  • Act as a strategic advisor
  • Guide cedants through hard market cycles, capacity constraints, and changing regulatory landscapes in Asia
  • Lead negotiations with regional and global reinsurers to secure optimal terms for your clients

Requirements:

  • Proven experience traveling to and trading within Southeast Asia (e.g., Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Philippines) and Northeast Asia (e.g., South Korea, Taiwan, Japan)
  • A strong track record in Property reinsurance is essential
  • Experience in a second business line is required to support our multi-line approach
  • Demonstrated ability to structure complex placements
  • Proficiency in English is required
  • Fluency in an Asian language (such as Mandarin, Korean, Thai, or Vietnamese) is a significant advantage
  • 10 years experience
  • Bachelor Degree
