Headquartered in Dublin, Citibank Europe Plc (“CEP”) is the main European Union (EU) licensed banking entity for Citi in Europe and has branches in 21 countries. CEP is authorised by the Central Bank of Ireland and as a significant European financial institution, is supervised under the Single Supervisory Mechanism by the European Central Bank (“ECB”). This Senior Regulatory Advisor - Vice President is part of the CEP Regulatory Advisory Team providing assistance with a range of regulatory initiatives, including Stress Testing, regulatory change initiatives, capital planning & optimization, ICAAP, and regulatory developments. The Capital Planning & Management Team is part of the Controllers organization within Finance. Finance provides a platform from which an employee can gain a high-level understanding of all aspects of banking and financial services. Every business, every process and every transaction ultimately has an impact to the financials of the company and Finance adds value through financial reporting, regulatory capital analysis and ensuring appropriate controls are in place. The successful candidate will play a key role supporting the CEP Regulatory Advisory Team in a growing SSM regulated entity.

Job Responsibility

  • Producing capital analysis including forecasting future capital requirements and risk weighted assets
  • Supporting the business in capital planning, management & optimization activities
  • Production of key regulatory initiatives including the ICAAP
  • Supporting the business during ECB Stress Testing
  • Analyzing and interpreting new regulatory rules
  • Supporting the business during regulatory inspections
  • Assisting with the review of New Product Memos
  • Managing the Large Exposure pre-approval process
  • Working across offices – developing strong and effective engagement with Finances colleagues in Hungary and London
  • Ensuring a strong control & governance framework is implemented and applied within the area of responsibility
  • Assisting with ad-hoc regulatory requirements as required

Requirements

  • Technical regulatory knowledge including CRR/ CRD/BASEL and experience in analyzing risk weighted assets and capital optimization
  • Sound knowledge of financial markets & derivate products
  • Sound knowledge of exposure calculation approaches (SA CCR, FRTB)
  • Experience in a global financial organization preferred
  • Professional qualification, an advantage

  • Collaborate on the development and delivery of employee and executive-level educational materials and resources
  • Develop and implement continuous process improvements, including automation projects, for all equity administration and related executive compensation processes

  • Support HR colleagues and external auditors in all employee and executive equity matters, including data requests and complex reporting
