Elegant Knitting is an Australian-owned and rapidly growing apparel manufacturer located in the Biyagama EPZ. We are seeking a strategic, high-energy, and result-oriented Senior Recruitment Executive to lead our talent acquisition efforts. As a Senior Recruitment Executive, you will be the driving force behind building our workforce in a competitive industry. You will be responsible for the full-cycle recruitment process, from sourcing specialized technical talent to managing high-volume hiring for our production facilities. Your role is critical in ensuring that Elegant Knitting attracts, selects, and retains the best talent to support our ambitious growth trajectories.
Job Responsibility:
Plan and execute recruitment strategies for a wide spectrum of roles, ranging from Associate-level factory staff (Operators/Trainees) to Managerial-level professionals
Take full ownership of the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), ensuring data integrity, efficient candidate workflow management, and a seamless digital application experience
Lead the full recruitment lifecycle: proactive sourcing, screening, interviewing, and managing the onboarding and confirmation process
Coordinate bulk recruitment drives to meet production demands and manage urgent vacancies to ensure zero downtime on production lines
Build and maintain active candidate pools for technical, supervisory, and management roles within the apparel industry
Ensure all hiring practices meet labor laws and international standards. Track and report on recruitment KPIs (Time-to-Hire, Quality of Hire) for management review
Requirements:
3–5 years of recruitment experience, ideally within the Apparel or Manufacturing sector
Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Management, or a professional qualification
Proven experience in managing an ATS and a strong interest/proficiency in using AI tools for recruitment
Demonstrated ability to recruit for both high-volume associate roles and specialized managerial positions
Strong headhunting skills, excellent interviewing technique, and data-driven decision-making
Fluent in Sinhala and English to effectively engage with candidates at all levels
