Job Description

As a valued member of the Operose Health team, your key duties will include: QoF Administration; Maintain accurate and up-to-date QoF disease registers; Run clinical system searches to identify patients requiring review; Coordinate recall systems for QoF and long-term condition reviews, including BP checks; Liaise with clinicians to ensure QoF targets are achieved; Ensure accurate coding of clinical data; Produce and monitor QoF performance reports. High-Risk Drug Monitoring; Maintain registers for patients on high-risk medications (e.g. lithium, methotrexate, DMARDs, anticoagulants); Monitor due dates for blood tests and medication reviews; Contact patients to arrange required monitoring; Liaise with clinicians regarding abnormal or overdue results; Ensure monitoring activity is coded accurately in the clinical system; Support safe prescribing and compliance with practice protocols. Requirements

  • Reception or customer care experience is essential as well as an excellent communicator both spoken and written
  • Must have basic PC skills such as Word, Excel and email
  • Able to work within processes, procedures and maintain confidently and data security
  • NHS or GP Practice experience and previous use of EMIS is desirable
  • Previous experience of working in the NHS is welcome but not essential

  • Meet and greet/liaise on the telephone as the first point of face to face contact for service users, families and visitors processing referrals, booking appointments and liaising with service users throughout the working day
  • Deal with telephone enquiries from Service Users suffering with mental health illnesses using empathy, understanding, initiative, tact and tenacity where appropriate ensuring accurate information is forwarded appropriately in order for appropriate care and follow up to be facilitated ensuring notification to relevant staff members of any concerns
  • Use the Clinical Database System which is constantly being reviewed and the processes developed using new electronic ways of working
  • Management of reception and general administrative support the post holder will be pivotal in ensuring delivery of an excellent front of house reception/telephone service
  • Assist in ensuring the service experienced is positive and service user confidentiality is maintained at all times
  • Treat all visitors i.e. service users, families/carers, colleagues and all visitors with respect, dignity, courtesy and in accordance with Navigo Values
