Job Description

This position is suited for an experienced developer who has managed the full mobile development lifecycle - from architecture decisions through to deploying a live app on both iOS and Android platforms. You will co-lead the mobile app space alongside another experienced technical lead, working across consumer-facing applications operating at a significant national scale.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead development utilizing React Native, TypeScript, and Expo
  • Manage app performance, stability, and release quality from end to end
  • Define mobile engineering standards, testing methodologies, accessibility, and design systems
  • Collaborate with product, design, web, and platform teams on end-to-end feature delivery
  • Integrate AI tooling effectively as an accelerator, applying professional judgement to ensure code quality

Requirements

  • A valid New Zealand work right is essential
  • Extensive React Native experience, including a proven track record of deploying live applications to production environments
  • Advanced TypeScript skills and a solid working knowledge of native iOS and Android environments
  • A calm, considered, and collaborative approach to peer leadership and team engagement
