Job Description:

For our Client, a leading aerospace company, we are looking for talented engineers to join their Research & Development Center. The company specializes in designing and manufacturing high-performance engines for both commercial and military aircraft, playing a crucial role in powering next-generation fighter jets as well as the world’s most widely used single-aisle aircraft. Join a team dedicated to shaping the future of aviation. The team has responsibility for the thermal design of the engine: from individual part through engine systems integration (Core & SAS, Turbine, Compressor, Externals) for all engine components. Working in close collaboration with an international group of experts including aerodynamic, aeroacoustics and mechanical engineering. As well as the teams responsible for integration of the modules.

Job Responsibility:

  • Participate in thermal design of existing and next generation engine architectures intended for civil aircraft
  • Support the Life Cycle of the Engine from early schemes to chosen design to test validation and including in service support
  • Perform technical / CFD analyses in support of next generation Engine development using technical expertise in the area of responsibility
  • Participate in the overall design of the engine at all phases, from concept to design through production and including monitoring of engines in service
  • Day-to-day cooperation with internal and external stakeholders from R&D office and international partners at various stages of the project
  • Support the roadmap of team continuous development regarding competences and responsibilities
  • Review each delivery for its technical content and mentor members of the team
  • Support Technical Leader in agreeing the new activities, defining deadlines, tracking and reporting work progress, identifying team skills and training needs

Requirements:

  • Master degree in Engineering
  • Min. 5-7 years of experience within thermal engineering, fluid mechanics, performance or energy engineering
  • CFD simulation experience (Ansys FLUENT or other)
  • In-depth understanding of thermal and fluid mechanics theory
  • Very good English skills
  • Teamwork, analytical thinking, self-motivation and ‘can-do’ attitude, decision-making skills

Nice to have:

Mechanical FEA software experience will be an asset

  • Laboratory Operations & Testing: Operate and maintain a variety of lab equipment to perform critical tests on materials, components, assemblies, and products. Accurately record and report test data with basic analyses
