Help create the next generation of fabric + product innovation. We’re looking for a curious, hands‑on innovator who loves experimenting with new materials, exploring emerging technology, and turning ideas into real products that make an impact. This role sits at the intersection of creativity, science and commercial thinking, shaping the future of everyday essentials for millions of Australians.
Job Responsibility:
Develop new fabrics, materials and product concepts to form new icons
Help to define and shape innovation opportunities aligned to brand and commercial priorities
Run trials, testing and R&D experiments to bring ideas from concept through to scalable production
Identify white space opportunities and build strong business cases for new propositions
Research global trends, emerging fibres and new technologies, translating them into commercial opportunities
Collaborate with Design, Garment Tech, Supply Chain and global partners
Support evaluation of supplier capabilities and help build new partnerships
Explore sustainable fibres, circular solutions and lower-impact fabrications
Support certification, claim validation and performance benchmarking
Lead innovation workshops with overseas partners
Track projects, solve problems and keep things moving from idea to bulk
Help build processes and innovation tools that lift capability across the business
Requirements:
Strong textile technology and product development know-how
Deep understanding of fibres, knit and woven constructions, finishing techniques and performance testing
Experience working directly with mills and fabric suppliers
A creative problem solver with commercial acumen and attention to detail
Ability to balance creativity with cost, margin and feasibility
Comfortable juggling multiple projects in a fast-paced collaborative environment
A strong communicator who collaborates confidently across teams and time zones
Organised, proactive and genuinely excited to experiment and learn
