Job Description:

An established national construction and property consultancy is seeking a confident and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their growing Reading office. This is an exceptional opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor looking to take on high-profile projects, lead client relationships, and fast-track their progression towards Associate level. The role involves working on complex NEC-based projects in the Defence, Education, and PBSA sectors, leading a major Defence programme, and developing both client relationships and the team.

Job Responsibility:

Take the lead on a major Defence programme, managing several high-value projects ranging from £50m to over £1bn
Develop long-term client relationships
Drive cost strategy
Oversee the full lifecycle of large-scale schemes
Support the development of junior colleagues
Contribute to business growth
Play an integral part in the long-term success of the team

Requirements:

A RICS Accredited degree qualification (ideally BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying)
MRICS preferred but not essential
Previous Quantity Surveying experience in a UK Construction Consultancy / PQS firm
NEC contract experience – highly desirable
A successful track record leading projects from inception to completion, often juggling multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to lead a team work to tight deadlines, staying organised, and managing workload efficiently
