Senior Quantity Surveyor for a UNIQUE Infrastructure project in Bedfordshire. The role is a key commercial position within a well-established infrastructure team, contributing to the successful delivery of civil engineering schemes while managing cost, risk, and stakeholder relationships.
Job Responsibility:
Promote and maintain a safe working environment at all times
Prepare and negotiate subcontract documentation, including terms, pricing, and programmes
Manage subcontract packages, including interim assessments and change control
Issue commercial notices to clients and subcontractors in line with contract requirements
Manage and assess change events, including compensation event quotations
Produce, submit, and agree monthly applications in accordance with contract terms
Work closely with operational and engineering teams to ensure accurate site records are maintained
Prepare monthly reporting, including Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR), and maintain cost plans with accurate forecasting and tracking
Requirements:
Strong understanding and experience working with NEC contracts
Proficient in IT systems including Excel, Word, and commercial management platforms (e.g. CEMAR, Oracle)
Relevant degree or equivalent experience within a commercial environment
Proven experience on large-scale infrastructure projects or multiple smaller schemes
CSCS card (relevant level)
Excellent time management and commercial awareness
Nice to have:
Professional membership (e.g. MCIOB, MRICS) or working towards this
