Senior Quantity Surveyor – Nuclear Division. This is a standout opportunity to take ownership of high-value, technically complex projects, working closely with senior leadership to drive commercial performance, manage risk, and influence strategic decision-making. The role blends commercial leadership, contract management, financial oversight, and team development.
Job Responsibility:
Take full ownership of commercial performance across multiple contracts
Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and NEC frameworks
Provide commercial insight and reporting to senior leadership
Manage cashflow forecasting, cost control, and financial reporting
Oversee valuations, variations, and final accounts
Review and manage tenders, procurement, and contract documentation
Identify and drive cost efficiencies and margin improvement
Lead on commercial risk management, claims, and dispute resolution
Maintain robust commercial systems and records (including CEMAR)
Mentor and manage QS and Graduate QS team members
Requirements:
5+ years’ experience in Quantity Surveying
Strong background in construction or specialist contracting
Experience on large, complex projects or frameworks
Strong knowledge of NEC contracts
Experience in regulated sectors (nuclear, defence, infrastructure) – advantageous
Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or similar
Commercially astute with a focus on profitability and risk mitigation
Strong stakeholder management – able to influence at senior level
Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop teams
Highly organised, analytical, and detail-driven
Able to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-compliance environment
