We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Brisbane team. In this client-side consulting role, you will provide expert cost advice across a range of significant projects, contribute to major infrastructure and property initiatives, and mentor junior staff as a senior member of our growing QLD division.
Job Responsibility:
Prepare detailed cost plans, feasibility studies, bills of quantities, and tender documentation
Deliver expert advice on procurement strategies, construction costs and contract administration
Manage and monitor budgets, conduct value engineering, and provide financial reporting
Lead client engagements and represent MBM in a professional capacity
Mentor and support junior surveyors, reviewing work and sharing technical knowledge
Collaborate with project stakeholders and maintain client relationships
Requirements:
A degree in Quantity Surveying or a closely related discipline
Minimum of 6 years’ post-graduate experience, ideally in a client-side role within Australia
Strong command of construction methodologies and local procurement practices
Advanced proficiency in CostX and Microsoft Excel
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Organised, professional, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously
Nice to have:
Working towards or holding AIQS or RICS membership is highly regarded
