Job Description:

Ringway is recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team on the Kent County Council Term Maintenance Contract – a major, long-term highways contract with a potential duration of up to 21 years. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in the mobilisation and delivery of a high-profile, performance-driven contract, with real scope to influence commercial outcomes, build strong client relationships and develop future talent. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will support the commercial management of a busy highways and infrastructure term maintenance contract, working closely with operations, supply chain and the client. This is a hands-on role, requiring regular site presence as well as office-based commercial administration

Job Responsibility:

Administering NEC3/NEC4 contracts
Valuations, applications for payment and cost forecasting
Measurement of works on site
Supporting change control, compensation events and final accounts
Managing and challenging supply chain costs
Working collaboratively with operational teams to drive value
Supporting the commercial culture of a long-term, client-focused contract

Requirements:

Has experience working as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within highways, utilities, infrastructure or civil engineering
Has NEC contract experience (NEC3 or NEC4 essential)
Is comfortable working in an operational, site-facing role
Takes a balanced, pragmatic approach to commercial management
Enjoys working within long-term contracts and building client relationships
Is keen to be part of a developing commercial team with future progression opportunities
